Below is the spreadsheet with detailed instructions and data format.  A few key items:

  • reporting period is 2020 to 2024. If 2024 is not available, report through the last year you have available.
  • please submit the data by 10 October 2025. This will allow us a first look and processing of the data, and if all data are in by that time, we could have time to discuss tables and plans at the November annual meeting.
  • improvements this year:  we have clarified the birth defect definitions and added their associated ICD-10 codes to the definitions.  A special thanks to Dr. Jorieke Kammen-Bergman and Dr. Florence Rouget for the crucial help and review.
  • the list of anomalies is similar to the previous report, with a few small additions and deletions (e.g., removed undescended testis and added clubfoot); b) some groups have been made more granular (e.g., hypospadias, renal anomalies) in order to better understand the variations
